He founded Konohagakure alongside his childhood friend and rival, Hashirama Senjuwith the intention of beginning an era of peace. When the two couldn't agree on how to achieve that peace, they fought for control of the village, a conflict which ended in Madara's death. Madara, however, rewrote his death and went into hiding to work on his own plans.
Unable to complete it in his natural life, he entrusted his knowledge and plans to Obito Uchiha shortly before his actual death. Years later, Madara would be revivedonly to see his plans foiled and ultimately, and finally, realizing the error of his ways and making amends with Hashirama before his final death.
Three of his brothers died young, leaving Madara with only his younger brother, Izuna. Madara and Izuna became very close through their shared loss and constantly competed with each other to get stronger.
During his infrequent downtime, Madara met a boy his own age named Hashirama. The two quickly developed a friendly rivalry, be it skipping stones or urinating in rivers. Like Madara, Hashirama was also a shinobi who had lost his brothers on the battlefield. Together they imagined a world where children like themselves wouldn't need to fight.
Madara Uchiha "Endless Moonlight" (★6)
Needing to choose between his family and his dreams of peace, Madara chose to end his friendship with Hashirama so he would have no reservations over killing him in the future, a resolve strong enough to awaken his Sharingan. Over the following years Madara and Hashirama continued to meet in combat. In time, both Madara and Hashirama became leaders of their respective clans, a position Hashirama tried to use to broker peace between them.
Despite this, some Uchiha defected over to the Senju clan out of self-preservation. With this new power he waged one final assault against the Senju and was summarily defeated. Rather than kill Madara to bring the era of war to an end, Hashirama offered to kill himself if it would stop the fighting. Madara was moved by Hashirama's gesture and finally assented to peace. All Of Madara Uchiha Jutsus
The Senju, the Uchiha, and all their affiliated clans came together to found a village of peace, where children would never need to die in battle. Madara and Hashirama, rekindling their childhood friendship, and Madara called that village Konohagakureseeing it through leaves.
The Stone Tablet had been in the Uchiha's possession for generations and was brought with them when they settled in Konoha. Through careful study, Madara was able to decipher enough of it to learn of the history of shinobi: of the endless cycle of failed peace and the destiny of battle between Uchiha and Senju, but also a means of unity for the world.
He tried to convince his own clan and even Hashirama of the same conclusion, but none would hear him. News of Madara's death spread fast and his corpse was secretly hidden to keep anyone from finding it and profiting from it. But Madara had planned ahead: he had scheduled an Izanagi to activate sometime after his death, changing reality to bring him back to life in exchange for his right eye's vision. He left a copy in place of his real body and went into hiding with a special trophy from his fight with Hashirama: a mouthful of Hashirama's flesh that he transplanted into his wounds.
It was not until decades later, towards the end of Madara's natural life, that the cells had any effect, awakening the Rinnegan in the process restoring his right eye.Few Uchiha now survive into the present day. Through Indra, the Uchiha inherited Hagoromo's "eyes", granting them powerful spiritual energy and chakra. As part of the so-called " Curse of Hatred " first displayed by Indra, Uchiha are subject to powerful emotions: these emotions typically start as love for a friend or family member that then become overpowering hatred when the object of their love is lost.
This loss, whether actually experienced or merely threatened, awakens an Uchiha's Sharingan. It is due to the Sharingan that the Uchiha have received much of their fame and notoriety. The Uchiha have been fighting the Senju clan for centuries, a rivalry that traces back to the days of Indra and his younger brother, Asura. When the Sage of Six Paths was dying, he selected Asura as his successor, believing Asura's desire for peace through love was better than Indra's peace through power.
Indra, driven by his Curse of Hatred, fought Asura to claim what he believed was his birthright. The Uchiha and Senju, descendants of Indra and Asura respectively, continued their battle through the centuries, though none still remembered this reason for their conflict. By the time of the Warring States Periodthe Uchiha and Senju had emerged as the strongest shinobi clans in the world. When one of the fledgling countries of the era would hire the Uchiha to fight in their wars, the opposing side would hire the Senju.
But centuries of conflict began to wear on members of the clans; Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju met as children and became friends, bonding over their disapproval of the combat and death that they and their younger brothers were constantly subjected to and dreaming of a time when children wouldn't need to fight. Unable to do anything about the world at their age, Madara turned away from their dreams. Madara and Hashirama continued to face each other in battle over the coming years.
With its increased power he took control of the Uchiha. Hashirama, by then leader of the Senju, tried to use their positions to broker peace between them and finally achieve their childhood dreams. Despite growing interest in peace amongst the Uchiha, Madara was unwilling to agree to peace after Izuna was killed by Hashirama's brother, Tobirama. When Hashirama agreed to these terms, Madara was moved to accept, withdrawing his request for Hashirama's death.
They unified with Senju and made a pact with the Land of Fire to create a hidden village within its borders, what would become Konohagakure. Other clans settled in Konoha to share their peace and Konoha's model was adopted across the shinobi world, ending the turmoil of the era. Madara interpreted this as the first step in the Senju's supremacy over the Uchiha and tried to rally his clan to take control of the village. Weary of the fighting, the Uchiha ignored him, prompting him to leave the village.
Hashirama did not wish for Madara's actions to be held against the rest of the Uchiha, a wish that was not followed: his successor as Hokage, Tobirama, was wary of the Uchiha, believing they could never be convinced to fully commit to Konoha's best interests. For this reason he created the Konoha Military Police Force which he left the Uchiha in charge of, officially as a sign of good faith but what many Uchiha interpreted as the start of their clan's isolation from Konoha's affairs.
As the decades passed, a growing number of Uchiha came to believe that Madara had been right to fear ostracism from the Senju. Because of this and the Sharingan's known ability to control the Nine-TailsKonoha's government came to suspect an Uchiha's involvement in the attack. Itachi chose the latter. Before assassinating his clan, Itachi sought out the help of Tobiwho he believed to be Madara Uchiha. In a single nightItachi and Tobi wiped out the entire Uchiha clan, with Itachi taking responsibility of killing his parents.
When he was discovered by Sasuke, Itachi pretended to be solely responsible for the attack, concealing Konoha's involvement and the fact that he did everything for Sasuke's safety. Overwhelmed with grief for killing his family, Itachi wanted Sasuke to take revenge against him, and to do that, he began pushing Sasuke to get strong enough to kill him.
In the meantime, he left Sasuke under the Third Hokage's care, due to the fact the Third had long desired a peaceful resolution to the Uchiha's grievances.
Only three Uchiha survived their clan's downfall: Itachi, though publicly acting as a criminal by joining Akatsukicontinued serving Konoha for the rest of his life until finally dying while fighting Sasuke; Sasuke, at Itachi's insistence, began seeking power at any cost so that he could someday kill Itachi, a pursuit that drove him to eventually defect from Konoha and become an international criminal; Tobi, real name Obito Uchihakept to the shadows for many years following his apparent death during the Third Shinobi World Waronly taking public actions after Itachi's death so that he can gain Sasuke's assistance during the Fourth Shinobi World War.
From learning from Obito about what Konoha forced Itachi to do, Sasuke initially decides to destroy Konoha to take revenge. When he's able to talk with a reincarnated Itachi, however, he changes his mind, as Konoha's destruction would make all that Itachi sacrificed meaningless. He and Obito join forces in trying to use the Ten-Tails to enslave the world with the Infinite Tsukuyomi. After learning the truth from Itachi, Sasuke opposes them and joins forces with the Allied Shinobi Forcesand Obito, in time, also sides against Madara. It's a testament to the depth of the world created by Masashi Kishimoto that the Naruto anime ran for plus episodes and still managed to leave fans wanting more.
We'd take a spin-off series, a few more episodes, or heck, even just an extra scene or two. In a series bursting with characters, he remains singularly interesting. The patriarch of the Uchiha Clan who also helped found Hidden Leaf Village, Madara is not exactly lacking for screen time. He casts a long shadow over his descendants, many of whom are main characters, and ends up being a key figure in a global conspiracy to end the entire world.
Still, there are several parts of Uchiha's endlessly fascinating life that are glossed over, left to the manga, or outright ignored. Madara Uchiha is a complex character, with many achievements, sorrows, and compromises in his life. His childhood is a rough one, spent in an era of feudal warfare and constant unrest. Upon reaching adulthood, he helps found Hidden Leaf Village in an attempt to create an era of peace. His vision helps usher in the era of the Great Shinobi Nations — but Madara is left unsatisfied.
Through study of ancient history and a tablet passed down through his familyhe realizes that all he has done is create one more opportunity for the world to fail. Seeking to break the cycle of war, truce, and collapse, he creates the Eye of the Moon Plan: The end goal of the villainous Akatsuki that seeks to trap the entire world in an eternal dream state.
Madara, and later, the different leaders of the Akatsuki, accept this end of worldwide free will as a trade-off for everlasting peace. Madara attempts to put his plans in action, challenging Hidden Leaf Village co-founder Hashirama Senju for control of the village. He dies in that fight He's such a schemer that he put safeguards in place to rewrite history in the case of his own death. He goes into hiding and works out his ideas in secret. Madara's plan is far too ambitious to enact in one lifetime, as he realizes towards the end of it.
After all, he hadn't spent most of his time on Earth planning to ensconce the world in an eternal dream — he'd spent it living through an era of war, founding a village, and only then considering how he might end conflict forever.
By the time he realizes this, it is seemingly too late to correct it, and his attempts to fast-track his plan end in his death. This isn't the end for Madara, though — quite the opposite. If we can't tunnel through the Earth, how do we know what's at its center? Kakashi Hatake likens it to the Flying Thunder God Technique because of its time and space manipulation, but notes Madara's version to be much more versatile.
The ability can be used without predefined locations and without hand seals.
Limbo: Border Jail
It can also be used to transport only parts of Madara's body elsewhere, leaving him visible to opponents but impervious to attack. Similar to Kamui, Madara is also capable of teleporting other people to a separate dimension, which is conducted in a similar manner as his self teleportation, in that the same swirling patterning, centered upon his eye, is present. However, it instead acts as an attractive force, both visibly drawing the target inwards and distorting their form, until they eventually vanish into the darkness of Madara's mask.
When displayed, the separate dimension appears to be largely composed of a random arrangement of various rectangular boxes. Itachi Uchiha was the first person to be shown to be able to use Amaterasu. He later gave the power to Sasuke Uchiha.
The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu are said to be as hot as the sun. The flames are extremely powerful, capable of burning through Jiraiya's Summoning: Toad Mouth Bind, which Jiraiya stated to be fire resistant. Not surprisingly, it appears to use a large amount of chakra.
Though said in the data book to burn everything reflected on its retina, Zetsu also commented that the Amaterasu burned everything within Itachi's wide field of vision to cinders with an unholy black flame, to the degree of being able to burn an entire forest or village with it. It can even smother regular flames easily. Wherever the user focuses his eye, the flames will appear at the exact spot without moving, making it unavoidable as long as the user keeps his vision trained on the target.
However, the delay in which it is launched makes it possible to evade, as the Raikage demonstrates using his Body Flicker Technique, due to his speed being greatly amplified by his Lightning Release Armor.
The flames are said to burn for seven days and seven nights, and cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. However, it can be extinguished by the user's alternate eye. Jiraiya managed to seal some Amaterasu flames with Fire Sealing Method.
When executed, the jutsu traps the target in an illusionary world that is completely controlled by the user. While it only takes a few seconds to complete in the real world, the user can make it seem as if days have passed for the target. Two legendary masterminds will finally meet on the battlefield in a one-on-one Battle to the Death! Wiz: Long, Long ago, before the formation of the Five Villages, all shinobi were at war, the two most prominent clans were the Senju and Uchiha clans, but amongst all this destruction and war, a young boy named Madara Uchiha lived a happy life with his friend, Hashirama Senju.
Boomstick: Unfortunately, it wasn't all murder, sunshine and rainbows, Madara soon discovered Hashirama's true heritage and ended their friendship rather quickly, and by his 20's, Madara was fighting against the Senju's including Hashirama himself, this painful battle would see his younger brother Izuna fall at the hands of Hashirama's own younger brother, Tobirama.
Wiz: Pushed to his limits as if he were empowered, Madara was able to best almost every single Senju except for Hashirama and Tobirama, however, Hashirama saw the light in Madara's eyes, and proposed an idea that would improve the lives of everyone in the world.
Boomstick: Form the Five Villages alongside Madara, and as well as appoint specific individuals to lead them, Madara was once considered for the position of Hokage, but the public insisted Hashirama take the position, while Madara at first liked this idea, he soon defected from his own village and made his descent into Darkness. Wiz: Madara would then dedicate the rest of his life to creating the "Eye of the Moon" plan, but these plans were temporarily halted when Hashirama came within an inch of killing Madara for good, but a power had awakened in Madara, the famed Transcription Seal: Izanagi, with this, Madara could survive any fatal blow that would otherwise kill him.
Boomstick: Then he attached himself to the Demonic Statue of The Outer Path like some kind of life support system and remained hidden in the Darkness for nearly 70 years, until finally his ally, Obito, showed up and carried his identity on for him. Wiz: He carried his iconic Gunbai, which reflects actual war fans used in real combat, but this isn't an ordinary war fan, it's carved from an unique spirit sacred tree, this Gunbai is a honourary, passed down from previous clansmen generations.
Boomstick: Whatever tree it was made from, I need that kind of tree for my lawn! Wiz: Yes, As an Uchiha, Madara has a natural affinity for Fire Jutsu, but he's also very well refined in Wood Style, as proven by his battles with Hashirama, including being able to forge a dragon out of wood, encase it in flames and shoot it at his foes.
Boomstick: Susanoo is one of Madara's trump cards in battle, it proved itself capable of fighting Hashirama's Wood Golem even when being the armour of the Nine-Tails, however, on it's own, it's power is so great, just pulling out it's sword and doing a slash in the air topples mountains, several of them nearby. Wiz: The Susanoo uses more of Madara's Chakra than anything else, but Madara has refined his chakra usage, so using the Susanoo won't immediately weaken him once he used it, but Madara's also awakened the Rinnegan, one for each of his eyes, giving him access to the Six Paths technique, allowing him various abilities including The Deva Path allows him to attract and repel objects at will, much like Pain, The Asura Path enables him mechanised limbs, weaponry and armor, The Human Path, which lets him rip the souls of his foes from their body, and so forth.
Boomstick: This transformation through sealing the Ten-Tails into him makes him far stronger than even the combined efforts of Naruto and Sasuke with the same power, his only flaw in this form is that he has a crumbling weakness to Sage Jutsu abilities, but everything else he has no problem with, really, even when Sasuke cut him in half from the waist down, BISECTING HIM!
Madara had no problem regenerating a couple minutes later. Wiz: Madara also awakened the Limbo Clones, 4 clones of Madara that can only been seen and therefore detected by those with a Rinnegan, such as Sasuke for example, this clones can aid Madara and assist him, and at anytime, Madara can transfer his Truth-Seeking Balls toward them. The user weaves three hand seals simultaneously between himself and his Susanoo, in order to draw two massive meteorites from the upper atmosphere down towards a specific location on the ground.
As they descend in succession along the same trajectory, if one of these meteorites is stopped, the other one will then collide with the first, ensuring that they crash into their intended destination. The impact of this technique was of such enormity that it devastated a significant portion of the Fourth Division with the resulting tremors being felt as far away as the Allied Shinobi Forces ' headquarters.
